– White rice – Milk – Golden raisins (optional) – Sugar (or honey or maple syrup; optional to taste – Vanilla extract – Cinnamon – Butter
Add all of the ingredients except the butter to a medium pot set over medium-low heat. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring frequently, for 14-16 minutes.
Once the liquid is mostly absorbed. Stir in the butter. Remove from heat, cover, and let cool. Serve warm or cold, as you prefer.
To store, let cool and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. To make coconut rice pudding, use canned light coconut milk in place of the milk.
