Frozen dessert recipes in grid of six images.

All year long, but especially in the summer, I make a lot of frozen treats and frozen dessert recipes. Part of this is simply because they are yummy, but the other reason is that they are so darn easy. Without cooking or baking, you can make snacks and desserts to share with the kids (and other adults) in almost any flavor you like.

In this post, you’ll find my best popsicles (for toddlers and also baby popsicles), frozen yogurt, ice cream, frozen novelties, and more. There are options without added sugar, ones made with less sweetener than traditional recipes, and ones with nutritious ingredients—and all of them are seriously delicious.

Best Tips for Success

  • Run a plastic popsicle mold under warm water for 15-30 seconds to help release the popsicle if needed.
  • Let yogurt-based popsicles sit at room temperature for 10 minutes so they soften and are a little creamy before serving.
  • Add fudge sauce to homemade ice cream cake if desired.
  • Frozen yogurt and ice creams may need to sit at room temperature a little longer to soften. Stir before serving to eliminate ice crystals, if needed.
  • Find the best popsicle mold for your frozen treats to use season after season.
  • Taste mixtures before freezing to ensure they are sweet enough for your family.
