Use this super simple technique to make a nutritious Baby Omelette for your little one. This works as a baby-led weaning food or a finger food, either plain or with add-ins. So versatile!
Add the butter or oil to a small nonstick pan or cast iron pan over low heat. Tilt the pan to coat it with the butter or oil.
Crack the egg into a small bowl and beat with a fork for about 30 seconds.
Add the egg to the pan, tilting the pan so the egg coats the bottom of the pan in a very thin layer. It will cook very quickly, usually in 2 minutes. Look for the top of the egg to appear matte and cooked.
Add any toppings to one side of the omelette in a thin layer.
Use a silicone spatula to fold over the plain side onto the side with the toppings. Fold over again to make a triangle.
Remove from the pan, then cut into strips to serve as a baby-led weaning food or into little pieces to serve as a finger food.
Notes
